Dear Members of Community,
Hope you are doing fine and excited about the New Year. It is hard to believe that two years had gone after we joined the MMA board. It was a great experience to lead the community for the past two years.
As the board, we took a lot of effort and hard work to serve the community. We borrowed time from our personal lives and other priorities to serve our community. I am sure you understand and appreciate our quality work to the Malayalee Community in Minnesota. I am so happy to mention that we have a vibrant community with a lot of talents among the youth and adults. It is great that MMA could not only support and encourage these talents, but also teach and promote our valuable culture among them. As you know, culture is the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts. It takes centuries and generations to form a culture. So it is our responsibility to maintain and hand over our culture and values to the next generations. We, the board, and Malayalee community understand that fact and work for the well being of each of our community members. I am so glad to be a part of that effort by serving as the president of MMA.
Our term is coming to an end on December 31st and the next board is already in place to lead the community from next year. I request all of you to continue the great support to the new board as well.Once again, thank you for all your support, guidance, and encouragement to the MMA Board of 2014-15. We really appreciate it.
Wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
