Minnesota Malayalee Association (MMA)‘s Mission is empowering both the Malayalees and Minnesota Community-at-large towards a diverse, inclusive & equitable community.
Since inception in 2002 the Minnesota Malayalee Association (MMA) has worked actively to uphold the following objectives:
- Preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Kerala.
- Celebrate major festivals of Kerala in Minnesota.
- Provide occasions for members to socialize and network.
- Provide a forum for members to demonstrate and share their cultural talents.
- Organize and maintain a women and youth forums within the Association to promote the cultural heritage among our youth.
- Promote friendship and cultural exchange with other Indian and other Regional and American organizations.
- Provide social service to the Malayalee Community and the Minnesota community-at-large.

Community Outreach- Engage with the broader community by participating in local events, festivals, and multicultural celebrations. This can help raise awareness about Malayalee culture, traditions, and contributions to the community. Grants
Cultural Events and Festivals- Organize cultural events testivals, and celebrations such as Onam, Vishu, Eid, Christmas These events can include music, dance performances, food stalls, cultural exhibits
Arts, performing arts & sports-Promote Malayalee arts performing arts, and traditional cratts through.exhibitions workshops, performances, and competitions. This can include showcasing traditional dance forms as well as music, drama. and visual arts .Badminton, volleyball, caroms tennis tournaments
Language and educational programs- Offer organization that offer Malayalam language classes workshops, and educational programs that teach the language, literature, history, and traditions of Kerala. This can help younger generations connect with their roots and preserve the Malayale culture internships .December -internship. Jan Feb/March/ Spring/summerfall
Collaboration and Partnerships- Collaborate with other non- Malayalee associations, cultural organizations, community groups, universities, schools. and local businesses to expand your reach, resources, and impact. This can include co- hosting events, sharing resources, and leveraging collective expertise and networks.
Digital and Online Platforms-Utilize digital and online platforms such as websites, social media, podcasts. webinars, and virtual events to reach a broader audience, share resources, and promote Malayalee culture, traditions and heritage.
Women empowerment- Health and wellness activities Empowerment workshops and programs, Safe space and support services, Cultural and social programs
Generation engagement Develop programs, activities, and initiatives that engage younger generations of Malayalees in cultural enrichment activities. This can include, mentoring programs, leadership development initiatives, and educational resources that promote cultural awareness and pride. Job opportunities.
