Dear Community Members
We inform with deep sorrow that Lisa (Elizabeth Sarah Goulette) passed away peacefully in her home, at 10:40 pm on Thursday, 22nd August 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Lisa is the daughter of Joseph & Lucy Paulose and the only sister of Rachel Paulose. Lisa has courageously battled cancer for 12 years and her strength, endurance and resilience since her diagnosis has been an inspiration for everyone around her. Lisa was a devoted and loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend who will be very dearly missed by so many.
Lisa’s parents Mr and Mrs. Paulose hail from Central Kerala and have been here for several decades. They both were pillars of strength and support for our Malayalee community in every way. They had very significant contribution towards building and strengthening our Malayalee community and Minnesota Malayalee Association in Minnesota. Mr. Joseph Paulose was the first President of MMA(2002,2003) after it was registered as a non-profit. Mrs. Lucy Paulose was the first woman President of MMA(2006,2007).
Mr.Paulose retired from the Hopkins schools systems after serving in the administrative division for several years. Mrs. Lucy Paulose worked for The St Paul/ Travelers company as the IT director and they currently own Home Electronic Systems in Wisconsin. Lisa’s beloved sister Rachel Paulose was the first Indian American ever nominated by the President and unanimously confirmed by the US Senate to serve as a US Attorney and the first woman to lead the District of Minnesota.
Visitation : 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 29th at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 S. 11th St. Hudson, Wisconsin 54016.
Funeral services starts at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 30th at Faith Community Church, 777 Carmichael Rd, Hudson, Wisconsin 54016.
