We are excited to let you know that the Varnolsavam 2020 Venue and Dates have been locked in – so mark your calendars and get ready for some FUN!!!
Here are some high level details about this year’s events:
Day 1:
April 18th, 2020 (Saturday)

Day 1 Competitions:
Costume competition, Group song, Solo dance (classical and cinematic), Solo singing (Carnatic and other), Instrumental music
Day 2:
April 25th, 2020 (Saturday)

Day 2 Competitions:
English speech, English Essay writing, Cherukatha (writing), Coloring, Observational drawing, Malayalam speech, Malayalam poetry, Dubsmash
As shown above, the stage competitions/performances will be held on Day 1 (April 18th) and literary, speech, drawing, coloring competitions etc. will be held on Day 2 (April 25th). We will reach out to you shortly with the registration link and more details on individual competitions, rules and themes/topics (wherever applicable). In the meantime, please go ahead and sign up as an MMA member or renew your MMA membership (separate mail sent earlier) if you or your family members are interested in participating.
Age group categories and participation rules are similar to last year, but for some minor changes which will be communicated to you along with the registration link in a few weeks. Please note that Group dance competitions are being planned as part of a separate event later this year (and not along with Varnolsavam). Detailed information on the new event and group dance competitions will be sent out later.
This year, the Varnolsavam 2020 participation will be limited to the Malayalee community. Anyone who is not from Kerala who’d like to participate in cultural competitions, please keep a lookout for more information about the earlier mentioned additional event, which will be open to all.
