As you may be already aware census 2020 reporting has already commenced. We encourage all of the community members to participate and get counted at the earliest, it takes only 10 mins!!
Why: Census counts drive congressional representation, corporate investment decisions and federal funding (~$2,800/person/year) for public health services, transportation, infrastructure and other essential services.
Who: Every Indian residing in US is eligible to be counted with other Minnesotans!!
- Whether you are a US Citizen, a Green CardHolder, or have a work visaor student visa(but are not on a visitor visa)
- Whether you live in a house, apartment or student housing.
How: Each household would have received an invitation letter in the mail to complete the 2020 Census online. It takes less than 10 minutes per household to submit the information that is held confidential by law. If you haven’t received a code in the mail, you can still go online and submit your information at https://my2020census.gov/
When: Now till Aug 14, 2020
Asian Indians are an undercounted community and it is our civic responsibility to ensure each and everyone of us gets counted. Remember, we are at risk of losing a congressional seat and valuable representation and funding for critical services.
