Dear Community Members,
It has been a great privilege for me to have been given the opportunity to serve as the President of the Minnesota Malayalee Association (MMA) for the last two years, 2022-2023.
When we started in 2022, the entire team of Board of Directors were aligned to the strategy of “making an impactful difference”. The team has been fabulous with commitment, dedication, and perseverance for the entire tenure to serve the community. I thank the crew of the Board of Directors, Mithra and Yuva representatives and the Advisory Committee from the bottom of my heart for the accomplishments. Thank You, TEAM MMA !!!
Looking back in the past 2 years, it has been an exceptionally busy time. We have had to deal with a rapid succession of important events and situations. Indeed, for me, personally, it has been a most eventful period throughout, at times challenging, but overall, a most rewarding experience. I shall confidently say that we sailed through all ups and downs, and we have been valuable in creating SENSE OF BELONGINGS, PERSONAL CONNECTIONS & TOGETHERNESS as outcomes, not just among our Malayalee community, but also among the Minnesota Community at Large. All these would not have been possible without Team MMA and Community support.
I would like to thank Aswathy Muttasseril (President 2020-2021) and Bijoe James (Secretary 2020-2021), for having faith in me to lead the community at the time of their handoff. I thank the entire MMA community and its members for the confidence and trust that you have placed in me, and it has been my privilege and honor to have worked closely with the community upholding the values of “community and organization first”. I also thank the Minnesota community at large, regional organizations and Leaders of other organizations to support and help MMA and its team to serve our community better.
Last but not the least, I would like to thank my own family as well as the entire family of Team MMA for their support and encouragement.
Now, as the board of 2022-2023 we are at the end of our journey as caretakers of MMA, we are ready to hand over the baton to the next Board of Directors and stakeholders for 2024-2025.
Let’s all welcome our next President 2024-2025, Neelima Krishnan and her team. I wish them all the very best for their tenure and to the MMA community for future endeavors.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
Thanks and Regards
Manoj Prabhu
President
